Although we established some local level partnerships with complementary organisations, we continue to largely attract partners within the education sector. <\/p>\n<h4>\n\t\tNali\u2019bali had the opportunity to collaborate with the following organisations in 2018:\n\t<\/h4>\n\t\t\t\t<a href=\"https:\/\/www.growgreat.co.za\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"  itemprop=\"url\">\n\t\t\t\t<img loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/report.nalibali.org\/2018\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/04\/logo-grow-great.jpg\" alt=\"logo-grow-great\" itemprop=\"image\" height=\"194\" width=\"184\" title=\"logo-grow-great\" onerror=\"this.style.display='none'\"  \/>\n\t\t\t\t<\/a>\n\t<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.growgreat.co.za\/\"><b>Grow Great<\/b><\/a>: the zero-stunting campaign (aims to halve the national prevalence of the stunting of children under the age of two by 2030), ordered a special print run of 9 000 supplements in Afrikaans, Sepedi, Xitsonga and isiXhosa, to distribute inside Community Health Worker starter packs and to survey participants.<\/p>\n\t<iframe loading=\"lazy\" width=\"560\" height=\"315\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/UcdyV-bsIxA\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe>\n\t<p>In 2019, Nal\u2019ibali will donate 2000 baby books to Grow Great, for mothers in its postnatal mom-and-baby Flourish groups. The class will focus on the importance of reading and each mom and baby will be given a book to take home. <\/p>\n\t\t\t\t<a href=\"https:\/\/unicpretoria.org.za\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"  itemprop=\"url\">\n\t\t\t\t<img loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/report.nalibali.org\/2018\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/04\/logo-un.jpg\" alt=\"logo-un\" itemprop=\"image\" height=\"194\" width=\"184\" title=\"logo-un\" onerror=\"this.style.display='none'\"  \/>\n\t\t\t\t<\/a>\n\t<p><a href=\"https:\/\/unicpretoria.org.za\/\"><b>United Nations Information Centre<\/b><\/a><b> (UNIC)<\/b>: We partnered with the UNIC for a collaboration around Story Bosso, a nationwide storytelling talent search. The UNIC contributed R100 000 towards the campaign; enjoyed shared billing on campaign collateral; had a speaking slot at the media launch and distributed some of their own materials at the event. Additionally, one of their own special stories was translated and shared in one of our supplement editions.<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t<img loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/report.nalibali.org\/2018\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/05\/Story-Bosso.jpg\" alt=\"Story Bosso\" itemprop=\"image\" height=\"499\" width=\"747\" title=\"Story Bosso\" onerror=\"this.style.display='none'\"  \/>\n\t\t\t\t<a href=\"https:\/\/www.childrenshospitaltrust.org.za\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"  itemprop=\"url\">\n\t\t\t\t<img loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/report.nalibali.org\/2018\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/04\/logo-rcht.jpg\" alt=\"logo-rcht\" itemprop=\"image\" height=\"194\" width=\"184\" title=\"logo-rcht\" onerror=\"this.style.display='none'\"  \/>\n\t\t\t\t<\/a>\n\t<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.childrenshospitaltrust.org.za\/\"><b>Red Cross Children\u2019s Hospital<\/b><\/a><b>:<\/b> Nal\u2019ibali stories are airing twice a day on the Red Cross Children\u2019s Hospital internal radio station in Cape Town. In November a meeting was held between NACCW and Nal\u2019ibali, to explore developing a national level collaboration. Ultimately this partnership was referred to a more appropriate partner, being FunDza. <\/p>\n\t<p>Nali\u2019bali will continue to work with several other local organisations, such as the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.hillaids.org.za\/\"><b>Hillcrest Aids Centre Trust<\/b><\/a> (in KwaZulu-Natal), <a href=\"http:\/\/bit.ly\/2KWN7HR\"><b>Pholoho Special Primary School<\/b><\/a> (in Free State), <a href=\"http:\/\/bit.ly\/2ZrV1w3\"><b>Shitachi Safe Park<\/b><\/a> (in Limpopo), and <a href=\"http:\/\/www.vulamasango.org\/\"><b>Vulamasango<\/b><\/a>, a residential care centre for orphans in the Western Cape, in 2019.<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t<img loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/report.nalibali.org\/2018\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/04\/books.png\" alt=\"books\" itemprop=\"image\" height=\"288\" width=\"376\" title=\"books\" onerror=\"this.style.display='none'\"  \/>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>CHAPTER 5: Nali&#8217;bali establishes partnerships with other child developmental support organisations In 2018, we looked to strengthen partnerships with organisations that support the needs of children that fall outside of our remit but are critical to children\u2019s wellbeing.
